Guerne Heights Drive-In Restaurant - Wooster, Ohio

Guerne Heights Drive-In was opened in 1956 by Richard and Jane Cutter. The Cutter's operated Guerne Heights for 40 years before selling the business to Randy and Beverly Wengerd in 1995. Randy and Beverly are involved in all operations of the business; the entire family (all 7 kids) and some great friends are actively involved in the operation of the restaurants.

As a family-owned and operated business for over 50 years, Guerne Heights has become a favorite destination of families and friends for generations. Guerne Heights hopes to serve you with the highest quality food and ice cream at reasonable prices in a hometown atmosphere.

Since the year 2000, Guerne Heights has served Soft Serve Ice Cream with 10% butterfat content; this results in a richer and fuller taste of your ice cream. Why 10% butterfat content? Because this means you are actually eating real ice cream! Others who serve product with less than 10% butterfat content are, in fact, serving you ice milk, not ice cream.

In 2008 Guerne Heights completed a major renovation of the building in hopes of bringing you, the loyal Guerne Heights customer, a better eating experience and better service. Our inside seating was increased and a roof overhang outside has created a nice, cool spot to enjoy your food and ice cream.

In 2007, Randy and Beverly Wengerd purchased the Winesburg Dariette business in the heart of Amish country. Since then, we have seen our loyal customers at both locations receiving the same great food and service they have come to expect. Be sure to say "hi" to the Winesburg Crew on your next visit!
